Dear Families,

Welcome back to school for the final half term tomorrow. Please keep to the times agreed when dropping your child off.  If you’re waiting for your child on the playground at the end of the day, can you remember to wear a face mask and stay 2m apart.

Y6 8.30am, collection 3.00pm

Y4/5 8.45am, collection 3.15pm

Y3 8.55am, collection 3.25pm

Some carers/ parents are arriving early to collect their children from the office. Unless this has been pre-arranged with the school it is really important then we ask if you could wait until the agreed collection time so that your child is not missing their learning time.

Covid Risk

Be assured, the routines to keep your child and the staff safer in school remain in place as the threat of the new variant of the virus spreading is present.

If your child is unwell, please keep them off school until they are feeling better. If they continue to be unwell, then please self-isolate and get a PCR Coronavirus test.

If in the household, anyone is going to have a test for Covid, or has had one, keep your child off until the test comes back. Do not send them into school while you wait to find out the results. Everyone in the household must self isolate until the test comes back.

Please inform us if there have been any positive cases over the half term.

Keeping Healthy

As the warmer weather seems to be here finally, can you make sure your child arrives with a full water bottle. There are facilities in school for bottles to be refilled, but with the water fountains having been switched off to reduce the risk of the virus spreading, it’s vital that your child keeps hydrated. Can any sweeter treat only be brought into school on Friday, please. We are seeing an increase of students now making better snack choices, but we feel more could now be joining in.

We requested that children come into school dressed in their PE kit on PE days. This practice is working well however we are noticing that not all children are wearing approved PE clothing. Correct PE kit is as follows:

· Plain black or navy blue tracksuit bottoms.

· School jumper or cardigan.

· Plain black or navy blue shorts or skorts.

· Plain white or navy logo t-shirt.

Bright coloured clothing, football shirts or fashion clothing with logos is not acceptable PE Kit. Staff will be monitoring the kit worn more closely this term.

Children always like to bring in a toy from home, however, there are often issues when these get lost/ misplaced etc.. Please, encourage your child not to bring in any toys, including fidget ones, or items from home into school.

Reading Books

All pupils have been asked to bring reading books you may have at home, back into school ASAP – our reading shelves are looking a little bare.

We look forward to seeing you all back in tomorrow.
