It is hard to believe Halloween, Bonfire night and the festival of Diwali are now all done for this year. The term, however, continues to pick up pace, please keep an eye on the school calendar as there are lots of things to look forward to.
Mentioning Halloween, reminds us that we had an amazing school disco organised brilliantly by the Friends of Exhall Juniors last week, and they raised £318. Thank you so much. They will be keeping you in touch on how they are going to use the money to support the school. If you have any time to help the Friends, please leave your name at the office, they are always looking for helpers.
Along with Exhall Cedars Infants, we will be raising money for Children in Need by wearing wigs and/ or wellies, and bringing in a donation on the 19th, so there’s time this week to to check the cupboards and get ready.
We’d like to update you on the current COVID-19 measures in place in school. We are still encouraging good handwashing, twice weekly LFD tests for staff, staying at home if unwell or tested positive and practising good hygiene such as sneezing or coughing into elbows or using and disposing of tissues properly. We are also still having touch point cleaners throughout the day at both sites. If the school has a large outbreak, the public health advice will be based on a risk assessment and may include some or all of the following measures:
• Reducing mixing between year groups or classes
• Cancelling large school gatherings such as assemblies, open evenings, residential school trips and school staff meetings
• Moving to online learning.
These measures will be discussed and jointly agreed with the school
