Dear Families,

Rising Covid Cases

Cases are rising significantly in the local area, over 50% more compared to last week, and whilst the effects seem to be milder for some, in school, staff are still having to self-isolate if they become infected. We do not want to move any class to remote learning, as the impact for everyone is substantial. Please follow Public health advice to stay at home and avoid contact with other people if your child has the virus.

Governor News

Our new Chair of Governors, Amanda Gardiner, spoke to the students on Friday about trying to increase our fan base. Like all good teams, we need to have our supporters, so please consider becoming one of our parent governors, details were sent out to you, but please call in if you would like a print copy to fill out.

Recognising Achievement

In school, it is always good to hear about students being recognised for their achievements in and out of school, and children like to be praised. We have a weekly Pride Assembly where class teachers celebrate a child in their class, and we share news about those students who have done well beyond the school gate – martial arts/ football clubs etc.. Please send to the office details/ photos of your child’s outside achievements and we will share. We also have our recognition boards that are used daily by class teachers to highlight something a child does well in their class.

Red Nose Day

Thank you for supporting Red Nose Day on Friday, money is still coming in, so we’ll let you know our total later.
