Dear Families,

I hope you are all enjoying the warmer weather and sunshine as the summer is finally approaching. Please do remind your children to bring a water bottle, a hat on sunny days and make sure their clothing is labelled, especially jumpers and cardigans, as these are often removed during the day and are not always claimed. Thank you for your support in making sure everyone at Exhall Juniors looks so smart and shows their pride in being a member of our school community.

Queen's Platinum Jubilee

We will be celebrating our Queen's Platinum Jubilee on Friday 27th May.  As a part of this celebration, the children are being encouraged to wear one of the following:

  • wear something red, white or blue
  • wear their ‘best’ outfit
  • wear clothing that fits with a 1950’s style.

On this day, Educaterers are hosting a special menu. We are encouraging children that are packed lunch to also bring a 'picnic' style lunch and some blankets. The whole school (weather permitting) will then have lunch outside.

Please ensure that your children arrive at school before the gates close at 8.45am so that they can be registered on time. We are seeing a recent reduction in the number of children arriving late – thank you for your efforts with this. We also have a problem with children arriving too early! School staff start their supervision at 8.35am, please make sure your child only arrives around this time for their safety.

We are following the NHS guidance regarding Covid Symptoms in school. If your child has a temperature and sickness, please keep them at home until they are well – three days is recommended. You do not need to carry out a test unless medically advised to do so. The NHS guidance for children is available here: NHS Link

Outside Achievements

Please remember to send in details if your child has achieved things outside of school for our Friday celebration assembly. The students love sharing with us what they have been doing.

Students will need to come into school in their PE and Forest School kit on their specified PE days.

Thank you
