Dear Families,

If you have changed your contact details, email, telephone or home address, you must let the school office know so that if we need to get hold of you, we can do it successfully.

You will be aware of the increased incidences of scarlet fever in the UK and the complications this can bring. Scarlet fever is usually a mild illness, but it is highly transmittable. We have maintained the infection control routines we had during the pandemic, but please tell your child to wash their hands – we will be reminding them again in school. We suggest that you become familiar with the signs of scarlet fever, especially if you have younger children at home, a link to help you is here Update on scarlet fever and invasive Group A strep   

Tuesday - Y3 are going  to Exhall Cedars Infant, Nursery and Pre-school to watch their Christmas Performance

Wednesday – Year 5 will need coats/ wellies/ suitable footwear as they will be outside for their science lesson.  

Friday – Christmas Jumper Day. Students can replace their normal school jumper/ cardigan for something more festive – it isn’t a non-uniform day. Christmas Dinner Day for those that have booked a meal.

Punctuality

School gates will close promptly at 8.45am, latecomers will have to enter the school by the main gate. Registers close at 8.55am. A reminder that the official end of the school day is 3.25pm. This means that once ready, your children start to leave their classrooms at 3.15pm.

Requests for Leave of Absence During Term Time

Acting under Government guidance, schools will not grant leave of absence during term time unless there are extreme extenuating circumstances. The Department of Education does not consider wanting to go on holiday an extreme mitigating circumstance.

Pay360 Accounts

We ask that you ensure that your Pay360 accounts are up to date and not in arrears. Your account can be set up to alert you of low balances to ensure that debt doesn’t occur. Unpaid meal debts will be followed up and if your account is in arrears of more than £7.50, we will ask that your child brings a packed lunch until the debt is cleared.
